Olivia was born on 26 August 1952 at Paptea Rotuma. She was educated firstly at Paptea Primary School and then Malhaha. She was later awarded a scholarship and attended Jasper Williams Secondary Scool in Lautoka, Fiji.
She left School in 1969 and then went to Suva where she took up a job with Hunts of the Pacific, at that time she was living with her sister Filo.
Due to a desire to travel overseas, she decided to move to Nadi and was given a job with UTC. She later joined Rosie Tours, then Thomas Cook and finally back to UTC. While with Thomas Cook and UTC her desire to travel was finally achieved. She travelled through many countries in Europe, England, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand promoting Fiji as a holiday destination.
She married Daniel Heffernen in 1977 but the marriage broke up in 1979. She later met George (Taffy) Conibeer and they were married in 1984. Taffy died on 29th July 1997 and is buried at Enamanu Cemetry.
Olivia is now with Sid Pickering and they migrated to New Zealand in the year 2000. They live in the North Shore of Auckland.
Taffy and Olivia had two children Leon and Casey.
Leon was born in Lautoka on 19th August 1983. He was educated at Saint Mary's Primary School and then Shri Vivekenanda High School. Leon left School in 1999 and is currently working in a variety of jobs while waiting to attend Pilot Training School
